But where the Suonova name come from?
The original name was “Sunova,” after a fictional beach on an island in the Pecuty Sea called “Sunova Beach.” (In English, the beach’s name brings to mind a well-known vulgar term that we don’t want to decipher.)
Legend has it that the Suonova were born on this beach, from a group of tourists traveling on a shoestring with a travel agency who unwillingly dumped them on a beach heavily contaminated by radiation from several nuclear tests. Due to the contamination, the unfortunates were transformed into a group that simply sings a cappella for communication… the rest is not meaningful
The name was changed to “Suonova” to avoid the similarity to the aforementioned vulgar English term.
The fishbone recalls the atomic fauna that the group originally found on the beach.
