The association Suonova Musica Vocale

The non-profit association “Suonova Musica Vocale” was founded on November 2, 2017, by the then members of the Second Suonova Formation, with the fundamental aim of better interacting with municipal institutions in the organization of their performances.

The association’s mission is the study, teaching, practice, development, promotion, and dissemination of vocal music, defined as music performed solely with the human voice without the use of musical instruments. The association pays particular attention to vocal music in the Italian language.

Vocal music plus Italy are therefore the basic ingredients of the Suonova formula.

The association Suonova Musica Vocale was and still is a very small organization, composed of only six members; today, within the Third Suonova Formation.

Current Interpretation of the Principles

Suonova Musica Vocale principles are so interpreted:

  • Study of Vocal Music: in the current sense, study is the fundamental part of preparing performances and original arrangements.
  • Teaching Vocal Music: this aspect is currently secondary to the association’s activities.
  • Practicing Vocal Music: this is currently a fundamental activity and is consistently pursued.
  • Development of Vocal Music: Bacco’s compositions and vocal arrangements are an important part of the association’s activities.
  • Promotion of Vocal Music: This currently takes shape through the original performances that Suonova performs in various contexts.
  • Dissemination of Vocal Music: This currently takes place through live performances and video production.
  • Particular attention is paid to the Italian language: the show “Vox Italica” is dedicated to the history of Italian music from the Middle Ages to the present day, “Vocal Swing” tells the story of the transition of jazz from the United States to Italy in the first twenty years of the 20th century, “A Christmas Tale” although it includes international songs, has a large section of Italian songs.

For a vocal performance, a choral arrangement of a song, or a collaboration with vocal or instrumental groups, contact Suonova.
